About The Task

The Sentence Diversity Priming Task (SDPT) is a structured elicitation task designed to assess sentence diversity in young children. The SDPT is presented as an interactive picture book in which the adult and child take turns describing the actions of animated characters and objects.


Administration Tips:

  • For optimized functioning, administer via computer.
  • Administer in full screen mode.
  • Record full administration for later scoring.
  • Mute volume if child is distracted by page-turn sounds.
  • See examiner manual for full administration instructions.
